Enjoy this recipe from 101 Soups, Salads and Sandwiches (M668).  Triple-Take Grilled Cheese  1 T. oil 8 slices sourdough bread 1/4 c. butter, softened and divided 4 slices American cheese 4 slices Muenster cheese 1/4 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese Optional: 4 slices red onion, 4 slices tomato, 1/4 c. chopped fresh basil  Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Spread 2 bread slices with one tablespoon butter; place one slice butter-side down on skillet. Layer one slice American, one slice Muenster and 2 tablespoons Cheddar cheese on bread. If desired, top with an onion slice, a tomato slice and one tablespoon basil. Place second buttered bread slice on top of sandwich in skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until golden on one side, about 3 to 5 minutes; flip and cook until golden on the other side. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Makes 4 sandwiches.

I have everyone of these cookbooks in the "101" series. They are the older cookbooks but the photos are colorful and there is a pictureof EVERY recipe so it gives you an idea how the final recipe will look. The ingredients are pretty simple and little notations come inhandy with tips for the recipes. I highly recommend these cookbooks when you can find this series.
I have not tried too many recipes yet,but the ones I have were great. What Iove is simple instructions and uncomplicated ingredients. I have a few other of their books and love them as well. In this era of quick fix meals, its easy to do from scratch with these recipes! You can feel good about serving a healthy meal for your family, instead of getting fast food.
This is another Gooseberry Patch cookbook - what's not to like. I have tried several of the recipes and knowing they are "tried and true" makes me confident in trying any of the recipes. The Chicken Noodle Gumbo is delicious!
Very good cookbook. The pairing of these 3 items, soup, salads & sandwiches is perfect.
