I'm a barnaholic. Every age, style, purpose, architecture. I find them great statements of the ingenuity and practical nature of man throughout the ages to house and protect their livestock and livelihood. Eric Sloane's work is a masterpiece because he really gets into the architecture and art of barns. A look at the tools, techniques, structures and uses can all be had in many other books - but tied together here with outstanding illustrations which can show so much more than photos could capture, makes An Age of Barns a must-have classic if you're thinking about building your own barn or just can't get enough of these icons of agriculture.The paperback reprint would have been OK (I've seen it and it's fine) but this original hardcover really captures all the original nuances of Sloane's work and is a lasting testament to the lasting structures he filled it with.

If you're from a rural area or reared on the farm, you'll love this book. You'll love it even if your only connection is a love of architecture and old buildings. I've loaned this to many friends who found it as interesting as I did. Both the architectural and construction aspects of the book are great but add in some of the history that is shared and this is a wonderful coffee table volume. Add it to your collection.

He lovingly focuses on hinge details, stairs and ventilation openings. Sloane's eye never missed a detail, and for anyone who loves old barns this is the book to get.

If you are interested in older barns, this book gives a nice brief insight into how they were made and how they were used. I like seeing and identifying the various types of barns I grew up around. Very interesting, and a good addition to any bookshelf.

The "fundamentals" part in its title is totally true, it covers the foundation level of requirements engineering, no less, no more. Though there are plenty of topics and concepts in this book, I think it does not go deep into any of them, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I rate this book with 4 stars because it was all I had to study to pass the CPRE FL exam, so it served its purpose. However, it's not the book I'd recommend to someone who was looking for a practice guide or learn more about RE than the average people in the industry. All the examples in the book, including the UML diagrams, are for dummies, that's annoying.

The book's a continuation of Pariya's story as a bride to be as she struggles with the various setbacks that have plagued her eventual marriage to her suitor. As usual, the art's amazing, the story a little predictable, but otherwise a very solid work from Mori. And the level of detail here is nothing short of godlike, manga-wise. Seriously, buy this series.

Even while Pariya struggles in this volume, seeing her work hard on embroidery, rebuilding her town, and making friends is so wholesome and heartwarming. Her budding relationship with Umar juxtaposed to the beautiful love between Amir and Karluk is beautifully drawn and written. This volume is great to read when the little things in life get you down!

Continues to be one of the best continuing manga in English.

the whole series is a fun read. I had first sent them to my niece. Her praise of the collection inspired me to read them.

Spener's life and legacy changed the church in ways that have reverberated to our time and this work shows how this happened. This is a must read for all who are concerned about the shallow, pop-religiousity in the church. For all who seek both a growing, biblical spirituality and one that is traceable to the Reformation, this is essential and, yes, short reading.

I found this to be an easy to read book that is fresh for today’s church. It is well organized which makes it a quick read.

This book was for a spring class. I found Spener to be very interesting and even gave a report on the book.

I liked how easy this book was to unerstand and it wasn't so long that you forget what your reading about. Spener makes his points explains them and it's good. I know some theology books can old when they just run on and on. This one really doesn't. It's very informative and helps you understand a little about the church in the Enlightenment era.

Amazing how something written in 1675 could be so relevant to the church today! I was encouraged by this little book.

What a delightful story about love with many twists and turns. Sarah Gingerich is an Amish widow who runs the Amish Sweet Delights bakery in Kalona, Iowa. The bakery was started by her father and all the recipes were passed down by word of mouth. She loves running the bakery but wishes to have children which she did not have when she was married. But widower Caleb Brenneman has two children and there is mutual attraction, but one big thing holds them apart. She is part of the Older Order Amish and Caleb is New Order Amish, whose members do not marry. The journey is bumpy for these two in beliefs and the children, who are still grieving their mother, add more difficulty. Marie Bast takes us along on their journey and keeps us wondering how the two will make this work, until nearly the last page. The real challenge in this book is not to reach for a pastry as you read each chapter!

I just read this book aloud with my 8-year-old son and we LOVED it. He read it through once and then I read it. [And as I type this, he's reading it AGAIN!] We loved the sing-song rhythm, Spanish pronunciation in parentheses, and the recipe in the back of the book. Lovely book for a summer morning of learning and reading. Thank you, Andrea!

This book shows the missing keys in conspiracy theory from the popular false Jewish Messiah Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi (1626-1676) to Rabbi Jacob Frank (born 1726) followed Sabbatai Zevi's teachings and made the teaching even more satanic. This false philosophy is called the Sabbatean heresy in Judaism. Sepehr goes mainly into the historical origins of the dark elite of the world and the evil things that they do and does a very good job of that. He doesn't give all the details on the false philosophy, not room for that in a small book. One aspect to Sabbatean belief is that God is good and evil and that Lucifer is his left hand angel and Michael is his right hand angel and to become whole requires you to be good and evil. This is based on Egyptian pagan religion where Set is the Sun gods' evil son and Osiris is the good god son of the Sun god. When I lived in San Fransisco I became friends with a High Priest of the Temple of Set. He was a maverick; born of a satanic military intelligence officer in the 1950's he joined the hippies on Haight Street in the 1967 Summer of Love took LSD which breaks hypnotic programming and though very psychic he said he was against the human sacrifice in the group. These elite of the dark cabal use the term Lucifer much more than Satan. What Sepehr talks about is real and it is a great global threat.

Opens your eyes (if you pay attention to details) the truth is never known...only discovered! The bad reviews of this book come from the sheep who can't except reality. This book explains what is still happening today with these wars and countries in debt! Wake up!!!

It's a good read especially if you're new to the history of the Illuminati. Sepher condenses a lot of detail into a few short chapters. The first two on Sevi and Frank were the best because they're what the title promised and contribute astonishing insight into the historical roots of our current degenerate Western culture. The idea that spiritual redemption is only possible thru transgression of traditional values motivates a dark swathe of secret believers who might pass as godless atheists and amoral power brokers to most religious observers. One could say they don't believe in God, but they sure as hell believe in his opposite number (322 not 666).

An excellent introduction and overview of need to know history. We can't understand what is going on now without understanding the hidden history of the past. Sepehr sticks his neck out to speak on topics that are taboo and ruin an individual's reputation in the West today. He does so because THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD. This is just the tip of the iceberg. If we desire to save the West, save ourselves as Westerners, and indeed the rest of the world which is next up on the chopping block, it's time to wake up.This book goes backwards in time to connect pieces of the puzzle in a cohesive timeline. Once you have this grounding, you can take the implications much further! Everything discussed by Sepehr can be connected to more recent developments such as the Wikileaks revelations, Pizzagate, and so on.

This book was an eye-opener. I was deeply disturbed by the facts in the book. I question everything now in the media and what the politicians say not that I didn't before. Somehow I feel like I am living on a different plane of existence. So much what has been told to us is most likely a lie. I found some of the facts to be disgusting. I would like to learn more now that I have taken the veil of my eyes as Pandora's box has been opened.

This book revives a hidden historythat should be taught in schools. It's nice & easy to read and gets straight to the point.
