In this case, the author gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the Wedding industry works from the perspective of a high-end wedding planner over about a year of their working life.Her books are always fun and funny with emphasis on the extremes and bizarre happenings that are "common" for those in the industry.In Wedding Babylon, we see how Bridezillas, stalker brides, princesses and hard core business types deal with the ups and downs of their wedding from plan to the big day. Along the way, we get to see what can go wrong from people not doing what they're expected to, melting wedding cakes, marquee disasters and more.Personally, I enjoy the glimpse of how money is made by everyone in the industry and what kind of margins they're on. You knew there was money in weddngs...but maybe not how much and going to whom!Hotel Babylon is still her best book, but this one is worth a read.
